The Importance of a CQL ( Character qualities list)

What you might say what is a CQL? A CQL is a list of character qualities to look for in a future spouse ( as well as you! )    Why is it important? Well imagine you have a recipe and you go to the grocery store without knowing what you need for the recipe.  That is like a girl (or guy) looking for a spouse without knowing what to look for.  Make sense? But be for you go and make a list for a husband make one for your self ! You must prepare yourself sister!
These lists I made I encourage you to make up your own!

Girls now days struggle daily with the urge to follow the latest fads set by their peers and currant celebrities. This struggle is hard and is very legitimate! I myself have struggled with it!
  I believe God's plan for his daughters is for them to stay pure and clean to him and to the world, the fashions and fads now days leave nothing left to the imagination: an over exposure of legs and cleavage!
  While this may be the latest and greatest among your friends, it is very exposing and violating! Think about it, while you may want the hot popular guy to look at you and whistle, he is not the only one looking at you, young boys and older married men are seeing all this too!
  And also think about keeping your body for your soul mate! And not just any guy that happens to look your way! Think about how special and pure that is to keep your body hidden and clean and unseen until marriage! That thought alone keeps me happy being modest!! It puts joy in my heart!!
  All of you girls have your family values, and your own personal beliefs and I do not mean in any way to seem like I am forcing my opinions down your throat!!
  All I can say is that I advise you to obey the families values and keep following your parents instructions!! They might seem dumb now! But when you have made a few mistakes as I have you will realize that boundaries and limits are what ground us and keep us safe!

One of the fun was to keep home in your fathers house and prepare for the future is to gather recipes like this one ! I have begun cooking the meals for breakfast and dinner Thursday morning  through Sunday night . I rather enjoy it home keeping is not boring it is a ton of fun and very rewarding whether people give you reward or the reward of doing a job well done Keep on pressing for Christ sisters.




Homemade Dishwasher soap! :


I love this recipe because it is so simple and a much heathly alternative

Question would you eat your dish soap? If not do you want that residue on the dishes you eat off? Not me ! What I love is that all the ingredients in this soap recipe are edible! ( yes borax is edible )

1cup Borax
1cup Baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid food grade
Mix well store in a glass jar !


Beautifying our homes

What young lady or woman isn't a perfectionist  when is comes to cleaning the home .
Throwing back the curtains making 2 bouquets for each and every room adding a little bit of potpourri to a pretty bowl  opening every window letting the spring and summer air in as you hustle around your clean house with fresh herbs and vegetables from your garden , lifting the canner off the stove baking some cookies before sitting down to knitting , sewing , or spinning?
I can say if I had my way that's what the house would look like.  Fresh and ready for who ever next enters the home.  Well our "dream" home may not be reality but what if in our free time we straightened the house like we were preparing for company? Just set aside our " hobbies" and straighten things up a bit pick up trash that managed to make it every where but the trash can , clean the muddy smudges off the window your brother managed to make , pick some flowers, crush some sweet smelling herbs and wipe the counter off were you little sister spilled the milk, and make your home a brighter happier place!


P.s. some wonderful herbs for "crushing" are Lavender, mint all kinds ( chocolate, apple, spear , pepper), lemon balm , sage  I'm sure there are many more but these are the ones that come to mind, you could even try blending some of your herbs! If you have any herbs you would like to be seen on this post just shoot me a comment!

This evening even after I wrote about beautifying our homes and serving our families my brother Jesse (11) and John (8)  gave me a very pleasant surprise! They cleaned up all the dinner dishes! I was exhausted after doing a mad dash to clean up the house and cook dinner before my mom got up for work! Thank you two! oxo
